Indianapolis native Pope Adrian Bless recently dropped a 3-track EP, fully titled Birdcage Sessions Presents: Eastern Conference, and the project definitely warrants the bit of buzz it's generating. The combination of gritty trap beats and haunting instrumentation is a fitting background to Bless' intricate flow. The raps can lean on the dark side (the babymama/mixtape lyric on "Exodus" is a bit jarring), but the weight of the content is a refreshing self-reflection, with Bless using the music as an emotional outlet. All in all, this is definitely shows Bless is an artist to keep an eye on.
Check out the video for "Exodus" below, and listen to the full EP and previous music on Pope's soundcloud. Also, follow and connect with him at his social after the jump.
